Ridiculous- The Uptones

This is what they're saying at MP3 Jackpot about my song Ridiculous:

Ridiculous
by The Uptones
pop, rock, reggae/ska

El Gusano says: I love when a song's message is simple yet delivered with conviction and, most importantly, style. "Ridiculous" is a clever assessment of the absurdities that make American culture, well, American culture. Backed by the typical upbeat movement we come to expect from all eight members of Berkeley's original ska band, The Uptones. I concur with MKK, expect today's MP3 Jackpot Winner to have some legs! Can't wait to see The Uptones at Slim's Thursday, headlining KFOG's Local Scene Night. Keep your eyes on these guys.

Bush Leaves Bruises On Uncle Sam's Economy

Bail! Bail! Bail! S.O.S.! S.O.S.!
It seems that the soon to be ex president of the United States of America is leaving us with a hand full of ideas to patch up the mess. None of which can be found in his tone of speaking. He just doesn't know how to SOUND like he gives a damn. And that will be his legacy, unfortunately.

Meanwhile, there is hope on the horizon. It glistens and shines like gold. This shimmering light and beacon of hope is so close that we can almost reach out and touch it. Just one more week! When we get to that gold, we're going to have to dust off 8 years of bullshit first. Then figure out who gets to divide it up. Then hope it's one of us who gets some.

The other good thing about Bush leaving, is that, people all over the world are going to trust us a little more. Which means it's time to travel. Word has spread about the brand new hospitality factor for Americans. With Bush gone, finally. That man has left this country in a tight spot.

Here's a tune called Too Tight by Peg Leg Howell.
Hmmm, I wonder if Bush got HIS other leg, too...

To Maintain A Heathy Level Of Insanity

This was forwarded to me from my girlfriend whom I love dearly

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did:

To Maintain A Healthy Level Of Insanity

At Lunch Time, Sit In Your Parked Car With Sunglasses on and point a Hair Dryer At Passing Cars. See If They Slow Down.
2.
Page Yourself Over The Intercom. Don't Disguise Your Voice!
3.
Every Time Someone Asks You To Do Something, ask If They Want Fries with that.
4.
Put Decaf In The Coffee Maker For 3 Weeks .. Once Everyone has Gotten Over Their Caffeine Addictions, Switch to Espresso.
5.
In the Memo Field Of All Your Checks, W rite ' For Marijuana.
6.
Skip down the hall Rather Than Walk and see how many looks you get.
7.
Order a Diet Water whenever you go out to eat, with a serious face.
8.
Specify That Your Drive-through Order Is 'To Go'.
9.
Sing Along At The Opera.

10.
Five Days In Advance, Tell Your Friends You Can't Attend Their Party Because You have a headache.
11.
When The Money Comes Out The ATM, Scream 'I Won! I Won!'
12..
When Leaving the Zoo, Start Running towards the Parking lot, Yelling 'Run For Your Lives! They're Loose!'

Ska music 4u : Roland Alphonso

While you start your first week of the year, why not let
Roland Alphonso take you to the Four Corners of the World.
Ska is music that is good for your soul. 4 out of 5 Doctors may recommend ska music to people who are trying to improve their health, mind and spirit. The 5th Doctor might already be in a ska band.
Symptoms for ska music are:
-Dancing
-Smiling
-Causing others around you to dance and/or smile
-Finding more rare ska music to listen to
-Buying cool threads and going to ska shows with friends
-Remind you that 2009 is Skankin' time!

Old School Video games

Bored?
Remember walking up to the arcade with a pocket full of quarters?
Stacking them on the console to establish your place in line?
Well, now you can just stay your lazy, tired ass at home and play them for free on line!
